FAQ

Do I need to download an app?

No. You can use Grovelet in a web browser on your computer, tablet, or phone. Your AI agent can help set up and personalize your Screen. Grovelet apps add device capabilities when you need them, such as collecting activity from your computer.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Start with a Scene from the Library, or describe what you want to your AI agent. Your agent can help create the design, connect your data, and make changes. You preview the result before applying it.

Where can my data come from?

A clock can run on its own, and interactive widgets can create data inside Grovelet. You can also connect devices, websites, and services. Collecting local AI agent activity or computer metrics requires a Grovelet app and the relevant connector. Your authorized Screens can share live data while its source is available.

Am I limited to the designs in the Library?

No. You can change an existing Scene or start with a blank screen. Choose the information, appearance, layout, and animation—from a single clock to an illustrated world. Each Screen can have a completely different design.

Does my AI agent need to stay open?

No. Your AI agent does not need to stay open. Once your Scene is set up, Grovelet runs it independently. Live updates still need their source to be available—for example, your computer must be running to share its current activity.

What does Grovelet store in the cloud?

Grovelet uses cloud services for account information, saved Scenes and Library files, settings, and device connections.

Live data moves between your authorized devices, directly or through a connection relay. Recording supported live data in cloud history is optional and off by default. You enable it through Keep history.
